| Support for Education |
In support of providing a positive and safe learning environment for the children of Henry and Clayton counties, Pastor Landers serves as the school chaplain for several area high schools. Higher Living's Youth Minister also provides mentoring and support roles for several elementary, middle and high schools in both Clayton and Henry counties and other local academic institutions. The men of the church volunteer their time each year to help a nearby high school keep order on the last day of school. Pastor Landers is often invited into the local schools to provide support and motivation for its students and teachers. HLCC has sponsored several teacher appreciation luncheons in the Clayton County schools. Pastor Landers also provides activities for youth during the weeks of spring break and summer break that offer fun and spiritually constructive supervision.
