Beyond Excellence Marriage Ministry

The guiding scriptural basis for the “Beyond Excellence Marriage Ministry” is Ephesians 3:20, 21: 


“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.” - Ephesians 3:20, 21



We believe that no matter what the current state of your marriage, God can work to take it “exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think”. Quite simply, God wants your marriage to be BEYOND EXCELLENCE.



Ministry Coordinators

Ministry Vision


The vision of the Beyond Excellence Marriage Ministry directly supports the church’s vision.

Higher Living Vision:	Beyond Excellence Marriage Ministry Vision:
Kingdom Order, Empowerment, Youth Development, Salvation...	Equip and encourage couples to live in the order and plan intended by God for Christian marriages.


Ministry Planning Approach


In support of the church vision, the marriage ministry is guided by a four-fold purpose:

• To provide Biblical instruction regarding marriage
• To provide opportunities for fellowship for married couples
• To provide refreshment and encouragement for married couples
• To offer prayer for marriages in the church

Ministry Activities

• Couples fellowship and teaching events at the church – These are usually free of charge and child care is typically offered.
• Marital Enrichment Class – This eight week class covers the following topics: God’s Purpose for Marriage, The Role of the Husband, The Role of the Wife, Communication, Finances, Sexual Unity, Raising Children and Family Religion. The culminating event for this class is a Renewal of Vow ceremony, officiated by Pastor Landers.
• Biblical Discipleship through the Master Life series – strengthening relationships with the Lord and with one another.

Couples who desire counseling should make an appointment through the Higher Living Community Impact Center. The phone number for the Community Impact Center is (678) 422-4787. 


Volunteers

Requirements for volunteering with the marriage ministry: Completion of new members’ class.
